We did not have a party last summer. Anyone want to help organize a party this spring or summer?

Just choose a date, post a sign and encourage people to come and bring a side dish. The Board will usually kick in some money. Jose can let us use the chairs in the basement. I'll help out.

I'm a little bit confused by all the different places I can view messages. When I saw the most recent party message on the Thayer Towers Yahoo group, I did not register that it was related to this Ning discussion. Honestly, I had forgotten all about Ning. Too many places to go on the net, I guess. Anyway, anybody up for a pre-July 4 party, the weekend before, or is that a bad time? I'll volunteer for something, if the newly formed social committee comes up with date, responsibilities. As far as money from the board, the first thing to do would be to formally request it based on a simple overall budget/plan for the party.

I should be around then and will help out. By the way, does everyone know about the farmer that lives down the street. He lives on Bonifant and Grove. His name is Charlie Koiner. He is 87 years old and he grows about every type of fruit or vegetable that you could ever want and he sells everything at a very reasonable price. You can stop by anytime you see him outside and buy whatever you need. I like to just go by and talk to him. He is very nice. Stop by and say hello. This is a tremendous resource for our community.

Thanks for the reminder, Erik. I haven't bought fruit and vegetables from him in a long time. Do you ever go to the farmer's market?
